Coach Ed has coached girls basketball since 2000. He has participated in the development of hundreds of girls during his tenure as a coach in the Pasadena area. He is a staunch advocate for girls sports, the father of 4 daughters and has been a consistent figure in Pasadena girls basketball since 2001. Coach Ed has guided his 6th grade teams to a 2019 AAU Westcoast National Championship and a 2010 a Cal-State Games State championship as well runner up twice and three 3rd place finishes.

The Vikings started as a single 7th/8th Grade MS school team. It wasn't long until that single Pasadena Vikings team became several teams and evolved into a full scale Club team known as the Pasadena Vikings (now known as Dena Youth Basketball). The Club is currently comprised of girls teams ranging from grades 2 through 8. High School teams are added in March/April.

 

Our teams participate in year round basketball training and tournament play in venues as distant as Texas, Indiana, Vegas and Oregon as well as a full slate of tournaments throughout the southland which include some of the largest events in the nation. 

We participate in leagues, clinics and host numerous tournaments of our own each year. 

 

Our program proudly sends players to High School ready to play and prepared for the next level.  Area teams, whether private or public are sure to have Viking players on their rosters making a difference. We have on-going relationships with some of the top private schools in Pasadena and have had great success having players receive scholarships to attend. 

Our endeavor and passion is to develop and motivate young ladies to their highest potential both academically and athletically using the game of basketball not as an end in itself, but rather as a tool to encourage, train and inspire young ladies to new heights in personal growth and exposing them to the limitless possibilities hard work and commitment can bear.

We are a DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM that tries to find the balance between development and winning. We accept girls of all skill levels so you will always have a team of peers while on the Vikings.
